Weir led 25-9 after one quarter and 60-26 after three. Ten Weir players scored in the game.

Great win for Beckley over Greenbrier East. The defense was tremendous as it swarmed Greenbrier East and led to easy offense. That might be the best we have looked in a long time defensively. Great teamwork with several nice passes on offense.

Beckley shot an amazing percentage. 13 of 21 from three and about 60 percent for the game.

I didn't think it was our best game though. Too many defensive breakdowns and Bryd shot too high of a percentage for the game. Even though we made all those three's it seemed like all we were taking early in the game were three pointers.

With this win, Beckley will play South Charleston at the South Charleston Community Center on Saturday for the MSAC championship. This will be a very tough test for Beckley. Hopefully we won't get outhustled and let them be tougher than us this time. Defense and rebounding are big keys. The biggest key other than that will be taking care of the basketball. I didn't think Beckley played all that great though. Good move by Coach Kidd to take the starters out 2 minutes into the game because they didn't seem to have any intensity. We continue to have too many turnovers.
